K2 and Serial Port

Tuck Hartshorn
My K2 uses DTR to key PTT.
However, something in Quisk, Python, k2lib,  or ... turns DTR on and LEAVES it on, keying the TX continually.
It happens on Win/XP and ubuntu. I tried one fix:
   self._dtrState = win32.DTR_CONTROL_DISABLE

which works but now there is no frequency update.
Has anybody seen this and/or has a fix?
TIA, Tuck AF6GQ

I can't find dtrState in any of my Quisk code.

It's not in quisk, it's in the python serial code.

I don't understand your hardware, but if you are using Hamlib, the PTT code is in quisk.py line 443 to 453.
